Jackman Airport - Newton Field (59B)

 

 

Newton Field was completely reconstructed in 2004.  The runway and ramp are in excellent shape.

 

Newton Field (59B), owned and operated by the Town of Jackman, serves the Jackman region with a 2,900 foot paved runway, identified as 13 and 31.

 

The airport is located in the northern section of Jackman, just off the south shore of the Moose River.  Ground access to the airport is via the Airport Road located off Main Street (Route 201) in Jackman.

 

Coordinates of the airport are N45-37.92, W70-14.84.

Elevation of the airport is 1,176 feet above mean sea level.

 

There are automated lights at the airport that are activated by using the local com frequency of 122.9 in 3, 5 or 7 click sequences for light intensities.


24-hour Self-service fuel IS AVAILABLE with an automated credit card system (Visa or MasterCard) for payment.


 A phone is located in the pilot's building for use by pilots. There is a long distance block on this phone.  It is possible to make a long distance call using a credit card.
