Autumn in the Jackman Region

Autumn in the Jackman Region is a time of transition from the green
of summer to the white of winter. As the days shorten, a change occurs in the
trees. The green of the leaves of the trees fades away to reveal a dazzling
array of yellows, oranges and reds. This by far is the most beautiful time of
the year!
In autumn there are opportunities available for mountain
biking, ATVing, camping, canoeing, hiking,
whitewater rafting, and wildlife viewing and photography. But this is also
the time of year for fall foliage viewing and hunting.
Peak fall foliage time comes early to the western mountains
- usually the last week of September through the first week of October. The
spectacular scenery, however, lasts all year round.
In the Jackman Region there are hundreds of square miles of
private land available for your free access and enjoyment. Please show
respect to these private landowners who are providing free access and treat
the land as if it were your own.
