The Moose River Valley Center is located
at 748 Main Street (Route 201)
in Moose River directly across from the Sky Lodge
entrance in the former Sky Lodge conference center. MRVC serves those
55 years of age and better within a 50 mile radius of the Jackman/Moose River
area which includes Greenville, Bingham and
all points between. Membership and many programs are free; however, a
small charge may apply for selected activities. The coffee’s
always on! For more information, contact Becky or June at 668-2171, or
stop by during hours of operation.
At MRVC we have weekly programs scheduled
such as quilting, knitting and crocheting, for gamers we have Texas Hold ‘em and Bingo, and for those who want to get moving we
have daily open exercise and a treadmill available. Each Wednesday a movie is
shown in theatre style fashion and “On the Road” trips take us anywhere from
St. George for shopping, Bangor for the
Annual Garden Show and to Greenville for Bingo.
And we always welcome suggestions from our members.
To keep everyone updated, newsletters
are mailed at the start of each month and contain information regarding
upcoming activities and programs. If you meet the age and geographic
requirements and haven’t yet joined, come in and see what you’re
missing!
The Moose River Valley Center is supported
and operated by the Couri Foundation of Ridgefield, Connecticut.
